Experience

24 years in wind. Three chapters.

From the nacelle to the boardroom, the experience that informs every piece of advice the firm gives.

Chapter 01
Field

Hands-on turbine work

The first years of any real wind career: up-tower, in the nacelle, learning how the machine actually behaves — what fails, why it fails, and what it takes to put it back into production. The foundation everything else is built on.

Chapter 02
Operations

Major corrective and lifting operations

Leading major corrective work across European wind fleets — gearbox, generator and drivetrain campaigns, blade work, crane and lifting operations. The discipline that decides whether a fleet protects its design life or quietly bleeds value.

Chapter 03
Today

Senior, independent advisory

Founded Kjær Wind-Advisory AB to put 24 years of operational experience directly at the service of asset owners — without the conflicts of interest that come with selling parts, services or contracts.

Signature mandates

Three mandates that define the playbook.

Mandate · 01

Built an In-House operations org across Europe.

Built an in-house Operations team across 13 countries and 200+ sites in Europe — to one of the highest standards in the industry on financial performance, achieving benchmark O&M costs and outstanding output.

The work meant integrating different company cultures into a single network of self-sufficient service units — local in execution, aligned in standards, accountable on the same P&L.

Mandate · 02

From construction handover to a working asset in operation.

Direct leadership of teams of up to 40 — technicians, Service Managers, Site Managers and Asset Managers — across the full lifecycle of new wind assets entering operation.

Working alongside Developers and Construction from late-build through commissioning and handover, owning the transition into operation: punch-list closeout, contractual takeover, performance baselining, and the first operating cycles where long-term asset behaviour is set.

Mandate · 03

Safer lifting. Better tools. Fewer accidents on major components.

The most recent chapter: working hands-on with crane companies, ISPs and OEMs across construction and operations sites to make major-component lifting safer and reduce on-site accidents — the high-consequence work where most of the risk and most of the cost actually lives.

In parallel, a continuous engagement with suppliers — meeting, evaluating and qualifying — to find the tools that the next generation of major-component work will demand. Leading a small team of specialists dedicated to that mission.

What the work taught me

Four things that decide asset value.

Operational control
Owners who run the work, not the contract.
Right tooling
The unglamorous backbone of independence.
Spare parts strategy
The pipeline that decides every escalation.
Major component decisions
Where most of the asset value lives — or dies.
